Growing up I always loved two things, video games and sports. Imagine my surprise when I discovered esports at the age of 12. I was never the esports prodigy you typically see excel at games at a young age but I wanted to be involved in esports in any way I could and I discovered casting through a callout for a simracing league I loosely followed. I reached out to cast and immediately fell in love with it. Each and every day after my first cast I have wanted to do only one thing at a professional level and that is cast esports. I would cast whatever game I was interested in at the time however I could. Doing this allowed me to hone my skills and overall pushed me to meet new people involved with esports that shared my passion for the industry. When I discovered Ball State esports I was a sophomore in high school. I knew that Ball State was one of my primary schools because of how renowned their media school is but I never knew how good the esports program was until I saw something come across my twitter. When I saw that, I knew exactly what I wanted to do at Ball State and that was esports broadcasting. I eventually reached out to the directors of Ball State esports to ask how me becoming a caster would work. I showed them some of my stuff and they instantly loved it and said that I would be more than welcome to join the esports program as a caster. Becoming a collegiate caster was the only consistent thing I looked forward to all of my junior and senior year. I wanted nothing more than to live out my dream and when I got here and the season got under way it was everything I had hoped for. In the one academic year I have been involved with the program I have already grown so much. My list of games I can cast has nearly doubled, I feel more confident in front of a camera, and I overall feel like I am a better caster than before. The professionalism that Ball State esports offers is second to none in the collegiate space and the amount of opportunities I am able to take advantage of is insane. I have been able to cast LAN events across the midwest, I have been able to cast huge events like the 2026 NACE Rocket League National Championship, and I have been blessed to meet so many amazing people that are involved in esports both at Ball State and around the world. With the help of Ball State, the sky is the limit and I firmly believe I can become one of the best commentators of all time whether it be sports or esports.
